Eczema
Eczema is a general term for an inflammation of the skin, which usually causes itching, redness, dryness, and sometimes blisters or flakes.

In some people, eczema can spread to different areas, for example from a small spot to larger areas of skin. This can happen if the condition is not treated properly or if the skin comes into contact with certain irritants.
There are different types of eczema, such as:
- Atopic eczema (the most common form, often related to allergies)
- Contact eczema (caused by contact with irritants or allergens)
- Seborrheic eczema (often occurs on the scalp, face or other oily areas)
- Nummular eczema (rash in round patches)
Eczema can vary in severity. When it "spreads," it can mean that the condition is spreading over a larger area of the body or that symptoms are getting worse. It is important to see a doctor or dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment if eczema is spreading or getting worse.
